A
Parasite is defined as an organism that lives in or on another organism (its
host) and benefits by deriving nutrients at the host's expense.
The
derogatory meaning is a person who HABITUALLY relies on or exploits others and
gives nothing in return. You may not believe it but there are parasitic
boyfriends/girlfriends who turn the relationship into a parasitic relationship.
It is good to give and share but if the person you are dating is
sucking you dry and draining you of emotional strength, money, time, and
everything else that is valuable to you, you may be in a PARASITIC
RELATIONSHIP. Note
that this type of love is the love of what the parasite can get from you, not
the love of you. It is a selfish love.
Signs
you are dealing with a Parasite
If
your partner ONLY shows love out when they need you/help
If your partner is never satisfied
If your partner is never appreciative
If your partner is never satisfied
If your partner is never appreciative
If
everyone around you is worried that your partner is taking
advantage of you
If they ONLY take, take and take...and hardly give
If your partner acts like you owe him/her
If your partner takes it personal/personally anytime you say no
If your partner demands your attention CONSTANTLY
If they ONLY take, take and take...and hardly give
If your partner acts like you owe him/her
If your partner takes it personal/personally anytime you say no
If your partner demands your attention CONSTANTLY
If your partner ONLY talks about his/her problems
If your partner makes you feel used
If your partner is upset, hurt, angry, jealous when you
pursue your own interests and grow as a person on your own
Anyone
who claims to be in your life and is not adding to you in any way but is always
taking from you is a parasite.
If you are the parasite, this is what the Bible says “Therefore
all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to
them: for this is the law and the prophets” –Matthew 7:12
